RezipGen is a locally-hosted AI-powered recipe generator and meal planner built with FastHTML and Python. It connects to your Smart Kitchen Inventory to automatically sync your fridge, freezer, and pantry items, then uses your choice of AI provider — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or Groq — to generate fully detailed recipes or complete weekly meal plans based on exactly what you have at home.

Every generated recipe includes a full ingredient list with quantities, numbered step-by-step cooking instructions, and a chef’s tip. The meal planner can cover any date range up to 14 days, planning breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each day while intelligently reusing ingredients across the week to minimise waste. Each meal card includes a one-click button to generate a full recipe for that dish.

All recipes and meal plans are automatically saved to a local SQLite database — nothing is stored in the cloud. The history page lets you search through everything by recipe name, ingredient, cuisine, dietary preference, or any keyword, and sort by any column. Every entry can be opened in a clean full-page view that is optimised for printing or saving as a PDF.

Settings are straightforward — paste in one or more API keys, optionally connect your Smart Kitchen Inventory URL, set your default cuisine and dietary preferences, and customise the navigation menu with your own links. You can also add or remove AI models for each provider as new ones are released.

RezipGen is fully responsive and installs as a Progressive Web App on mobile and tablet devices, giving it a native app feel. Everything runs on your own machine — your ingredients, your recipes, your API keys, and your history stay completely private.
